Satori Summer Camp

Satori Camp allows students aged 12-18 to choose three mini-courses from a variety of offerings. Participants are introduced to a wide range of academic and special interest courses designed to develop a well-rounded individual. Each course is held for approximately two hours a day over the six days of camp. This continuity allows for in-depth exploration of subject material, active inquiry and discussion, and hands-on participation by students. While attending Satori, campers live on Eastern Washington University鈥檚 tree-shaded main campus in Cheney, Washington.

Scholatic Awards winners are celebrated everywhere from community venues to the stage at Carnegie Hall. By participating in the Awards, recipients receive direct scholarships or tuition assistance.

Science Olympiad

Science Olympiad competitions are like academic track meets, consisting of a series of 23 team events in each division (Division B is middle school; Division C is high school). Each year, a portion of the events are rotated to reflect the ever-changing nature of genetics, earth science, chemistry, anatomy, physics, geology, mechanical engineering and technology. By combining events from all disciplines, Science Olympiad encourages a wide cross-section of students to get involved. Emphasis is placed on active, hands-on group participation. Though Science Olympiad, students, teachers, parents, principals and business leaders come together and work towards a shared goal.

The Science Without Borders庐 Challenge is an international art contest that engages students to promote the need to preserve, protect, and restore the world鈥檚 oceans and aquatic resources.
The Science Without Borders庐 Challenge was created to get students and teachers interested in ocean conservation through various forms of art. This annual contest inspires students to be creative while learning about important ocean conservation issues. The Science Without Borders庐 Challenge is open to primary and secondary school students 11-19 years old, with scholarships of up to $500 awarded to the winning entries.
